You can be a missionary wherever you go! When you tell someone about God's Word, you are doing as he instructed. Mark 16:15-He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” I went on a family mission trip in 2013 with my church. We went to a church in Lynchburg, and helped set up a block party. At the block party there were bounce houses, a hotdog stand, and free school supplies for the community. It was a hot day so grilling and selling hot dogs wasn't an easy task, but there was a hungry crowd and they needed to be fed. I started at the hot dog stand but then helped with the bounce houses. While the parents got the school supplies most of the kids had a lot of fun in the bounce houses. We had a blast and invited anyone there to visit the church the following Sunday. We had a good turnout, and a lot of people got the school supplies they needed. Plus, during all of the activities and fun we were able to share the gospel. I shared the gospel to one little girl, who then came to church the following Sunday! God was using me to spread the Word to that little girl and I didn't have to fly to get there. The mission trip was a good time for families to come together and follow God's commands. Matthew 4:19-“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out be fishers of men.” I want to be an example of that verse, and be a fisher of men. So that I can spread the love of God to every corner of the earth. God made me to be a light to those around me. I hope that through my mission stories others will be inspired. God gives us a choice to follow him and his word, or follow the way of the world. The way of the Lord gives us the promise of everlasting life in Heaven. The way of the world brings everlasting life in Hell. God loves us and wishes everyone peace in Heaven rather than pain in Hell, but he wants us to choose. What will your choice be?

Living out James 1:27 in Haiti
When I went on my first international mission trip to Haiti I was so ecstatic, It was a dream come true. God was working wonders in me at a young age. He taught me the importance of life, and every second should be done to the glory of God. James 1:27-Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. Haiti was a door opening in my eyes showing me the changes I needed to make in my life. When I went to Haiti, with my church, our mission was to teach at a school and do a short bible study. My group had the high school boys, those boys were flying through all the worksheets we gave them. There was one game we played where they separated them into two teams and would take turns answering questions and if they got it right they would put a tic, tac, toe piece down and try to get three in a row. We had a recess before bible study so the kids could have a break after learning new things. One recess me and my mom played "keep away" with one of the boys I taught. They are super fast, and we were worn out after the game! Another recess we played soccer with them, but I don't know who won. Teaching older boys was a new experience for me, because I'm used to teaching younger kids, but I had a wonderful time.
We also visited an orphanage next door to play with the kids. When we got there all the kids came and pick the people they wanted to play with. We played jump rope, they did my hair, and Had a lot of fun. In Haiti they play jump rope a little different: when you swing rope you do it hard and fast and try to hit the jumper. Luckily they don't normally do that to us. Me and another boy did swung the jump rope for the younger kids and tried to trip them. It may sound mean to you, but they enjoy. The kids there are used to seeing "white" people coming so they know most of them have phones and cameras. One little girl did may hair and it is so PAINFUL and looks funny too. Haiti was an adventure of my life I will never forget and I hope to hear some of your encounters with Christ too.
